Christina Bolden

Christina Bolden is a locally based dance instructor and choreographer. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Xavier University. During her studies at the university she was awarded the Lawrence J. Flynn award, honoring the student with highest GPA within their respective program. Currently, she serves as an adjunct professor in world dance and modern dance at her alma mater. Ms. Bolden premiered her choreographic work, Limitations, at Contemporary Dance Theater’s May 2007 Performance Time Artist Series. She has also performed with the Yalla Raqs Dance Troupe led by Donna Blakley. In May 2009 Ms. Bolden was selected as a celebrity guest for Cincinnati Arts Association's Dancing for the Stars, a local version of the ABC television show. During that month she was also commissioned along with Nicole Hunter, to choreograph Visions from my Nightingale for Cincinnati Art Museum’s Surrealism opening gala. In June 2012 she will serve as a judge for the Overture Awards produced by Cincinnati Arts Association.

She has heavy community involvement, and has served on a variety of boards including the Young Professional Advisory Board for the Cincinnati Art Museum. She is also a volunteer with Bloom Africa, an organization that supports sustainable growth in the African country of Lesotho.
